just an oddball question for ya. I'm not much of a currency collector. I never really got into collecting paper very much as I suck at saving money but I do have a 1993 dollar bill. it looks like it was printed yesterday except for 3 minor creases from being folded. would it have any collector value or is it just 1 dollar? would it be worth saving or will it always just be one dollar? I have no knowledge whatsoever about what to look for or anything on currency so any help is appreciated.ill add scans as soon as I get the chance. but if theres anything I should look for at what makes currency valulable ( I know I spelled that wrong) please let me know. thanks ahead of time I appreciate any help.

I'm afraid those folds, however slight or minor, still mean the note is less than perfect, and probably not worth more than face value for a common type.

My Pick catalogue lists a variety, "Web Press", in the 1993 series
USA $1 note, which catalogues slightly over face value. What's a "Web Press" note? I didn't know either until I googled '"Web Press" dollar note'. This guy seems to know what he's talking about. We're not talking major increase in value here, and my catalogue's not the newest (2002 ed.).

It may be best if you don't post a scan of the whole note; we wouldn't want you and/or the Forum getting in trouble with the authorities! It should suffice to just tell us the date, bank branch letter and whether or not it seems to be a Web Press note to you.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

first off thanks for the reply. second I checked the site and realized that its not a web note its a regular print. but just in case it means anything ill give the info on the dollar. it is a 1993 from the Atlanta Georgia FRB. the branch letter is F and the code is F 31057873 H.

and btw does anyone have any sites for information on what to look for in paper money and beginner info? any sites that mite teach me something please post it. thanks.

if I put any info that could possibly get me or the forum in any trouble feel free to delete or edit it. I dont know what exactly would start trouble so ill leave it up to you guys.

Chuck:

I realize the kind of site I'm going to mention isn't what you are looking for.

However, like you, I'm not really a currency collector. But, "Catman" got me started on a real fun site which I have been using for many months. And, there are lots of things you can learn from it.

Take a look. You might enjoy it. I do. https://www.wheresgeorge.com

Hey that website is great. I see you can also track Canadian Notes.
Pity there is not a similar site for aussie notes!
