1957-D-Lincoln-.-Vertical-Lines-In-E. I seem to remember seeing a post about this, but I can't remember what the answer was. I found 6 of the broken post and 9 with the non damaged B in the same roll. I thought at first, it was the same die and I just got lucky and caught it when the post broke. But they are different dies. The inside top east of the B is also doubled, but the R is lighting I think. Sorry about the pictures, I'm a dinosaur. I hope to get better.

The vertical lines are possible feeder finger scratches. The broken post indicates excessive die ware and may explain the thickness of the "B" I don't think this is a DDO but I will let others be the judge.

The marks are die scratches on the fields. The other scratches that were on the die has flattened in the open fields faster. Next to devices and inside of devices, they last longest. Thus that is what you are seeing.
