Picked this up at my LCS for $200, it was labeled as an 1812. Let me know what you think this would grade!

Coin looks about VF25 and the obverse looks cleaned. It could be the overdate but the 2 in the date does not look correct. Also certain markers do not look correct so this would need to be verified maybe through an inexpensive ANACS submission.

The big money in this variety is in the "Large 8" in the date. This is unfortunately the "Small 8" variety which carries a small premium to the non-overdate 1812 bust half.

Hey I just saw this coin on ebay!
VF-30
Probably an old cleaning, but I think it could come back a straight grade. Its the O-102 with an R2 rarity.
Suffering from bust half fever.

Thanks for the replies! I listed it on ebay, not sure if it's worth sending it off to be graded. Maybe I could have my LCS send it to a grader for me

VF20 maybe VF25. I think it would come back straight at 20 because of the cleaning. That said, certified grades are all over the place.

Is that a rim bump just to the left of 12:00 on the obverse?

I say VF30, but the coin looks cleaned and lifeless to me.
