1812/1 Capped Half Dollar. Grade Estimates Please!

numismatic student Bedrock of the Community United States 11880 Posts	Posted 10/06/2021 6:30 pm Coin looks about VF25 and the obverse looks cleaned. It could be the overdate but the 2 in the date does not look correct. Also certain markers do not look correct so this would need to be verified maybe through an inexpensive ANACS submission. The big money in this variety is in the "Large 8" in the date. This is unfortunately the "Small 8" variety which carries a small premium to the non-overdate 1812 bust half. That said, certified grades are all over the place. Is that a rim bump just to the left of 12:00 on the obverse? Report this Post to the Staff
