coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/08/2021 04:30 am Thanks for the extra image. It looks now like a struck through issue. Something thin like a piece of plating from another coin. That would explain why there is plating there, and the hitchhiker fell away post strike. The extra view helped a lot. Also since I have neve come across this would the coin that had a piece missing look like a struck through as well even though it was a piece of metal removed during the striking process?
