With the roads closed, this was bought in per courtesy of a chopper pilot and obtained per courtesy of Forum Great "crystalk". This one will pair very nicely with our 2000 VC Dollar...

Many thanks Terry...PNC's will be onforwarded in the morning !!!

BTW...the wooden dollar is fabulous.....

* Photo changed to a better one...[:p]

Nice coin - you can see the medal design clearly.

You'll notice that's not a generic Imperial VC, but the similar-but-different Canadian VC. Created in 1993, no-one has actually won one yet.

The Imperial VC has the motto "for valour" in English. The Canadian one has it in Latin - "pro valore". I guess they couldn't fit a legible bilingual motto in that small space?

It is amazing what a big old turtle can do!!! Glad to see the Canadian VC's made it safely and dry! Must admit those coins are very eye appealling and it is very rewarding knowing they have been adopted in GREAT Aussie homes!

Renal I would think your package would be very close by now? Registered Mail takes longer due to restrictions placed on it and how it MUST be handled. Do hope to hear something positive SOON!!! Sorry I couldn't use the same turtle to Turkey!

My wooden dollar sits on my desk top, and is quite a conversation piece.

You have to admit that is much better than having ME sitting on top of your desk!!! I would require a lot more care, constant feeding and entertainment and, of course, the constant roaming of the Rockies!!!

Lim, thanks for the photos.

Now I have a question, counting on your quote "a silly question is an unasked question" :)
What does A.O.D. stand for?
