1986 Lincoln Memorial Cent- What Is The Extra Metal Inside Column #4?

What is this extra metal inside column #4? Its not a gas bubble- I did everything short of mangling/damaging the coin to try to get it to break and it did not! Is it possibly a die clash or a partial extra column?

(The coin itself is in a MS grade (IMHO)

It could be that someone had mishandled the die and broke/dropped that part of the die?

Looks like remnant of a die clash to me.
