I hope this question makes sense.

I have a 1921 Peace dollar with what appears to have unique Machine Doubling errors. Already posted here:

I have found an auction photo of another of the same coin with "exactly" the same defects.

Question:

When, if ever, does the same error found on multiple coins, become a unique variety, such as a newly found VAM? Or... is it just a continuing MD on multiple strikes?

If an as struck feature on a coin is not a result of the prepared working die (be it fresh, reworked or even damaged or worn from use) it is not listable as a VAM.
