Hi all,

Does the window in the picture look like it's extending into the column furthest to the right? I appreciate your thoughts.

Are these marks incuse or raised. If raised it might be a DDR. If incuse it maybe damage. But it seems to close to the design, to be damage. The listed WDDRs are on the Philly examples. They more located in a bit more in center on the window on the right side of the building. You might try to get a couple of shots with the light at a different angle, then rotate back to horizontal. That might show an answer to my question. When you get that include those in an Email To John Wexler to see what he thinks? (The lighting on different directions might give him more of an idea as to what you are seeing)
Here are some locations of the DDR's Wexler has listed for the 'Philly mint DDRs':

I believe this is MD. The frame and grilles of the windows are raised on the hub, those are what I'd expect to be doubled on a genuine doubled die, like the listed DC DDRs as well as the Harper's Ferry and Homestead DDRs. The glass panes of the windows are raised on the die, so any secondary contact of the die to the coin ( Machine Doubling) would duplicate them. Just like what we see here.

Thank you for the thorough replies. I do believe that the extensions into the column are raised, not incuse. Different photos can be deceiving, but that's my best guess. Additional pics from different angles are below, and I'll email them if you still think so after seeing these, Coop.

The last image show they are not raised as much as it appeared in the first images. But Machine Doubling would leave other areas showing the same flattening line? Do you see it on another area? Proof coins are struck twice. The first strike may have been normal, but the second strike may of had slight movement. It maybe too minor. But send John the images. The last image is the best one. What power are you looking at. We maybe looking to closely at this and it could be minor?

Not sure the power, some parts of the LCD on this scope isn't working. Do these photos help to judge the size?
