Hi guys

I happened to be separating my pocket change last night & noticed this odd Nickle. At first I thought it was just extremely worn or vandalized, but it looks like a factory error from what I skimmed off here & the web. I cant seem to find anything else like it so I figured I'd join up & see what the experts have to say.

It looks like it was " lightly struck" on the front & Monticello was left absent on the reverse.

I doubt I'll be able to respond to any posts until Monday afternoon.
At that time if its legit I'll answer any questions & post better pic's.

I'm tempted to name it "Skull Face"

to CCF. Not a mint error, it is PMD.

Thanks John1, That's my luck.
I figured it might have been altered somehow but that perfect dimple in the middle of the reverse made me think twice..

Thanks Guy's!!

I should have realized the missing features were a bit too polished compared to the rest of the coin.

I wonder what happened to it, if only it could talk.

I'll take it as a lesson learned & look more closely from now on.
