Was going through pocket change and discovered this (dirty!) dime.
Am I mistaken, or is there another mintmark — a faint "S" NE of "1996" and SE of the "P"?

It looks like a lot of corrosion on that coin. With a lot gunk built up on it.
So I'll say it is environmental damage that you see

to CCF. A P minted coin like yours if it had a S mint mark above it would be called an OMM=over mint mark. OMM's stopped in 1955 so your coin can not be a P/S. Your coin looks like the so called S is part of the corrosion not a mint error.

Condition is a spender. Not worth the effort to look at this one. When I see them like this, I know I would not buy it, regardless what it has.
