Some months back I posted my newly acquired 1998 1 Rupee DDO. I recently bought another specimen of the same denomination and date DDO, and imagine my surprise when I saw that the doubling was different and more dramatic. So, what do I call them, 1-0-1 and 2-0-1, or what?

Definitely two different dies there, nice pickups!

I'm not sure what naming convention you're using, it looks like CONECA but not quite?

That first one is a Class V, the second is a Class IV. So if we're using the CONECA convention, it would be 1-O-V and 2-O-IV.

Thank you. I have trouble telling the classes apart.

I can't help with the naming convention, but I do want to congratulate you on the cool find of a different doubled die. Well done @the!
