Those pics have been around for over a decade; the original story was posted back in 2008. It originally turned up on a Greek coin forum, which is why one of the pics has a Greek fake coin die highlighted.

The story gets reposted a lot; most recently, back in February, here: http://goccf.com/t/393010&whichpage=1

And there's nothing wrong with reposting it again. Newbies who haven't seen the old threads need to know this stuff.

First time I'd seen this particular story, although I've seen similar articles before. It wasn't dated so I wasn't sure how old the info might be.

The counterfeits are still out there, and so the re reporting of them is still currently relevant.
