This is an example of a clashed die issue. The die experienced a strike without a planchet in the machine, thus the dies clashed together leaving a transfer of the incuse devices on the opposite die. This is not a doubled die, but a die event. A doubled die has the devices enlarged during the die creation process. This spread will enlarge the devices in the center. Often these clashed dies will be polished off. This is a nice one to keep. Often referred to as a "Jail House" Cent. The obverse die was affected more than the reverse die. But the revers is showing some clash marks. The overlays show where the clash devices can be seen.

THAT is an Amazing die Clash!. No mistaking that one. Great find! I would not hold that one in your hand and get finger prints and oil all over it. 2x2 worthy.
