I agree with the consensus here that the coin is genuine.
By 1850 France was using steam presses with three part closed collars that applied the edge design in a single strike. They also produced the raised edge that is characteristic of modern coinage. The other significant features of this coin look genuine.
Weight and density will be perfect to determine if this coin is genuine.
At this moment, and still 50 minutes to go, the coin is priced at $199.50 which seems very high to me for a raw coin. I have a hard time assessing the grade with all the glare. Could be a nice XF or perhaps a mid AU. Not sure what are all those spots.
