What do you think of this coin: https://www.ebay.com/itm/334199575130

Real or fake?
The seller's photos have this unnatural yellow sheen over the coin which makes it difficult for me to assess the surfaces of the coin.

Im leaning towards genuine here, but cautiously optimistic. It looks like a gorgeous coin in my opinion.

Yellowish could be due to incandescent lighting.
So long as there is a return option, I like it.

I agree with the consensus here that the coin is genuine.

By 1850 France was using steam presses with three part closed collars that applied the edge design in a single strike. They also produced the raised edge that is characteristic of modern coinage. The other significant features of this coin look genuine.

Weight and density will be perfect to determine if this coin is genuine.

At this moment, and still 50 minutes to go, the coin is priced at $199.50 which seems very high to me for a raw coin.
I have a hard time assessing the grade with all the glare. Could be a nice XF or perhaps a mid AU. Not sure what are all those spots.

The auction ended with the coin selling for $255. Seems too much to me. Suffice to say, I didn't bid.
