Okay, I'm digesting that. The images you provided look very, very much like my coin. So it would seem that an MDO is the likely culprit here. Since this is known on 1969-S proof coins, I see no reason why it would not also occur on both reverses. Thinking you've got this one figured out, which would be great as I like things to get figured out. But could be a new obv/rev so maybe still at least a little important of a find. What a strong MDO!
