If the clad was missing, you would see a lot more red, not brown in the color: Also note the strike on the coin on the left. See the weakness. That is because of the missing clad on just one side of the coin. Yours is not showing a red color or a weakness of strike that would be there if it were missing cladding. Missing clad pre strike: Missing clad post strike: Note the top coin. When the cladding came off after the strike, the strike still shows a ghost image, but not having much detail. The lower coin is struck with the clad missing. Note the two areas are showing the same strength of strike. Things we look for on a missing clad.
