january1may Pillar of the Community Russian Federation 5172 Posts	Posted 11/14/2021 4:07 pm Not 16th century but nearly two thousand years older! Thrace, Maroneia, first half of 4th century BC. Reverse (first pic): ΜΑΡ-ΩΝΙ-ΤΩΝ around linear square containing grape vine, monogram below (off flan at 12h). Obverse (second pic): horse prancing right, monogram below (not sure exactly which). Cf. Numista 44535, Numista 224420. Listed about five times in Wildwinds, some of them mentioning specific monograms. Report this Post to the Staff
