found these in an OBW roll of uncirculated 69 s Lincolns, I'm pretty sure I found a DDO 002 and I'm not sure what to make of the missing letters on the other coin, can anyone provide some input please>> are these both worth sending off to NGC or?

We need to see better, whole photos of both sides of your coin. Please separate these two coins and present only one coin per thread. Multiple coins complicate replies. Please photograph each coin from directly above, no weird angles (they distort too much). Thanks.

I will say there is definitely something going on there, and it seems more than just Machine Doubling, but definitely not the uber famous ddo-001 . with merclover with the need to have fewer photos and having full coin shots of the obverse and reverse will for sure help us all out to best help you.

therealsully87 to the CCF!

the nice looking coin (coin on the left) is not DD0-002. the mint mark location in relationship to the date is not correct.

the other coin missing the L in LIBERTY could be from crud on the coin or a Grease Filled Die (hard to tell with the pictures provided).

I'll go along with a Grease Filled Die on coin2, and I think the doubling you see could be a reflection from the field on coin 1 - which could be a proof coin, but hard to tell with the picture provided.

Machine Doubling on the date and Struck Through Grease on the Liberty. Machine Doubling is common on the 1968-1972 cents.
