I signed up for the enrollment on the Mint's web site starting in 2022 for the new silver proof and proof women's Quarter sets.

BUT my order says "BACKORDER"! Really on an enrollment sign-up only that costs $0.00 US Dollars and does not have to manufactured or anything?

What's up with that?

Well, it is technically true. The enrollment is an order. Coins are not available, so the order cannot be processed and it placed on backorder. When they become available, they will ship. I am sure it is just how their ERP software is configured to handle enrollments. There are way more annoying things to fret over.

Well I was still trying to wake up when I posted that.
let me explain further..

In order to get both enrollments for the Proof set and the Reverse proof set, I had to place 2 orders.
Now it the past, when I ordered an enrollment for a product, I had to go through 'checkout and pay 0.00 dollars. These orders would start out out as 'processing' then after a few hours, the status changes to 'shipped' Because there is nothing to actually ship, the product lands on my enrollment page for me to view or change.

This time when I made both orders, one went to 'shipped' status and the other went to 'backorder'. I just don't understand the back order status as there is nothing to ship for the enrollment program.

Hmm. I never paid that much attention to my enrollment status in the past. Perhaps a software change nonetheless.

Now, back to worrying about whether or not the 2022 silver dollars will be available on enrollment or only via the "Thunder Dome" high noon ordering process of old.

Maybe the Mint should turn distribution to someone who knows how to dole out the goods...
