1964 Kennedy Proof Half Dollar Accented Hair? Coneca Odv-001

gsp193 Pillar of the Community United States 975 Posts	Posted 11/16/2021 11:34 pm I believe this is the 1964 Accented Hair Variety with the broken left lower Serif on the I in Liberty, the straight G of designer initials and the irregular bars on the reverse. It also looks like the designers initials are possibly doubled as well but it is still in proof set cello so I am not sure. I just did not want to take out of set just yet. The soft flips contain PVC and turn the color of coins purple, ruining the value of them. The hard flips are much safer. But there is one marker that I see on your coin that shows that is is an accented hair proof. Want to know that it is? http://goccf.com/t/115781 On the image with the 'FG', note the lathe lines on the design? When you see these, then look at the image you have with the stars on it. Odd how it does look like the bottom left serif on the I is absent but the hair doesn't look the accented variety. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/17/2021 6:17 pm Can't fix a proof coin without ruining the surface. Why damage one of these? Don't put finger prints in the surface.
