Here is some photographic evidence of the progression from normal (top left) to slightly fat (top right) to moderately fat (bottom left) to extremely fat (bottom right) as the die becomes increasingly worn.

Particularly noticable on the NIUM Y

The first signs of fatness are the slight bulges in the stems of the I and U. As the die becomes more worn they resemble a snake that has eaten a progressively larger animal. Mouse to bandicoot to possum.

The M is like Bruce Banner turning into the "Incredible Hulk"

Also notice the level of doubling on the CENTS dramatically increases as well.
