Hi everyone. I apologize for the pics. It's the best I could do. I could use some help identifying the anomaly in the chin area. Seems to be missing some and mounded where it shouldn't be. Error? I could use your expertise. Thank you. &

I cannot see what you mentioned. Appears to be a normal cent, but perhaps close up photos would help us understand your issue. Could be a die chip or damage, it's difficult to tell from these photos. Sorry I can't be of more help.

looks like a slight discoloration, maybe Abe applied some Grecian Formula to his beard?

Larger images would help.
Rest in Peace

Practice making your images larger, it's difficult to help with small photos.

Thanks all. I will try to improve on the pics. I lit up the penny on third pic hoping that would help. I'll try again.

Hi all. Thanks for the help. You pointed out the date, Coop. This is one area where I get confused. I am thinking this is an example of Machine Doubling. If it's legit DDO, then I have a few hundred coins to re-examine. The third Pic of the first set was the best I could do to highlight the the extra bump on Abe's chin. I am posting a couple more to show the date and lettering. Please advise me on whether it is DD or MD.
Thanks very much. Let's hope I catch on eventually! &
