Coin looks heavily buffed or cleaned and an odd color. If the wear in the hair is actual wear and not machine done, I'll say F-15

The other wear indicators are not there, especially on the high points of the leaf and the main stem.

Okie, do you know how hard it is to wear down a small cent to F grade?

That coin is easily a VF to EF grade, and my bet is that it was not fully struck when minted.

But the insides of the leaves, with the veins, are also almost worn away, just like Liz's hair. The coin just doesn't look normal and to me, has no chance at VF. Something odd has happened.

I'd say VF 20/30 and some doubling on the date as well it seems.

Okie - a good benchmark for VG to VF grades on this series can be established simply by searching for auction sales of the 1955NSF. There are tons of photos online.
