@Spence: why is not a snowman? one dot on top of the other. what classifies a snowman or not?

Thank you Dearborn, though I haven't used the term before, I assume a "snowman" is when you can see the actual split on the dots, like a split serif if you will.

Very nice early DDR.

Aside from 1909 there's not a lot of DDR's to be found earlier than yours.
(Only about 10 earlier DDR's, even if you include all the mints but exclude the abundant crop from 1909)
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
