Someone devised a great "cat" Navy token on a 1942 Merc Dime. Notice the Navy cap and the whiskers, as well as the .45 cal pistols, one in each hand. Really neat!

Hellcat or Wildcat- I would say Hellcat, as it was a HUGELY better fighter plane than the wildcat.

Based on the date of the host coin and the design of the figure carved into the " love token" I would be looking for H Hollingworth in some WWll navy records or even merchant marines...being a proper name it might shed light on its origin

On the U.S. Navy Muster Rolls 1938-1949, I see only one "H Hollingworth" (as opposed to the many "Hollingsworth" entries).
