I would like to hear some thoughts on where this Cent could Grade. Minimal luster left. Thanks!

I'll say VF-35, possibly EF-40.

XF40 but might get detailed for the obv scratches and obv/rev rim damage.
I wouldn't be ashamed to own it no matter what it grades!
Nice pickup!

It looks like a XF-40 to me also, but I would be on the fence if it has details .

Well, not sure if you noticed but you've got the re-punched date FS-301 Snow-1, which is very, very rare and very dramatic as well. It is worth a good premium too so you may want to look at that and label it as such! Good looking coin too, congrats! https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin/detail/37391Again, not sure if this is something you find interesting but it's a rare variety and seldom found so I thought I'd let you know. -CH27

Nice S-1. Should be worth a very hefty premium. I have an example in VG and I know these are tough!!
As for the grade, Xf40, and might get to 45 for overall appeal. Nice one!!

Quote: you've got the re-punched date FS-301 Snow-1 I was thinking it looked sort of like a re-punched date.

It's a keeper. The extra nickel in the early IHC often yields this kind of surface. Just because the coin spent time cleaning itself against the cloth in someone's pocket doesn't warrant a details grade. I don't see anything suspicious. The reverse is at VF-30 and the Obverse at a pretty solid XF-45. I think that yields XF-40.

VF for me. The lower hair curl merges with the ribbon ever so slightly keeping this from grading XF.

High VF for me. Say VF30-35.

Thanks Everyone! Yes, I knew it was the Snow-1 RPD. That is about the only reason I made the purchase. I would agree that it is a tough one to find. I'm trying to put together the 1859 - 1909 IHC Top Die Varieties. listed at - https://www.indianvarieties.com/top...ies-by-date/I also have the goal of buying them unattributed.
