Hi

I am George from Athens-Greece. I have a 2002 Italian 20 Eurocent defect coin. I have read that it is a high value coin, is that correct?

Looks like a small Cud and signs of Die Deterioration to me. Huge numbers of euro coins were minted with the date 2002 and the dies were worked hard. I don't think your coin would be of any particular added value, but it might interest someone who is especially keen on Euros or Italian coins.

Mmmm I really do not know...maybe it is an error in printing or something...i have seen this kind of "errors" to other coins and some say that it raises the value a lot....but I am not sure...i have seen asking prices from 700 Euros to 15,000.- Euros.... I am just not sure nor an expert.

The values #8203;#8203;you saw are fake, the value of your piece is up to €5 because the error is in the earlier stage of the die, when you come across a later stage of the die, then a little more bonus goes to the circulation value, but again, don't think about a number higher than the maximum 15 €. Photograph of pieces from my collection.
