Taking into account the picture is not what you would, but the picture is detailed. Assuming there are no hairlines or scuff marks or better yet, what do you see that warrants pt deductions. Obviously, the scratch on the shoulder. What about the mark under the date? Is that from the die or post mint? The pictures are 50pwr scope and the scratch can't be seen with the naked eye? To all of you that have been patient (much appreciated) I am slowly getting a grip on this stuff.

Couple major contact marks...base of the bust, lower collar, decent amount of chatter on his jacket as well and a bit on the reverse...I'd say 64+rd

Something looks odd in the hair area, could just be some chatter. A couple of mid-deep shoulder hits, dark toning, minor spotting, MAD and ugly rims. Looks to be die dent below the date. These little "warts" can form if the die is damaged.

The reverse has the typical STATES are weakness, some light chatter in the fields and on the columns, rims a little beat-up.

Overall the coin appears to be lightly toned which is subduing the luster.

probably makes MS65RD but I think its not going higher than that
