2006 Off Center Dime (Out Off Collar

Montgomery Valued Member Canada 429 Posts	Posted 12/15/2021 8:09 pm I got this one recently. This one have been struck outside collar. On production side, what cause the difference between out of collar and broadstrike? One is strike out of collar which produce the raise lip. On the other side, what is the relation between the collar and the blank to have a large part around the design ounce strike? The collar is not there to contain the metal which expend all around? I thought it was in a 2X2 for a second, then saw what was going on. Nice pick up.
