My father started me collecting in 1959 with the release of the new Lincoln Memorial cent. He bought me 3 Whitman folders, 1909-1940,1941-1958 & 1959-? He also bought me my first coin, An uncirculated 1909 SVDB.............. Over the years the two later sets were lost, but still have that original set (1909-1940) including the 09 SVDB in the original folder. Retirement has arrived, let the up-grades begin. Now that is the way to introduce someone to the hobby. Congrats.
Welcome to the forum and look forward to seeing your upgrades. Any chance you can share an image of the uncirculated S-VDB?

Been trying to post pic off and on for a couple weeks. No luck. Never seen a web page make it so difficult to post a pic. Have followed the tutorial page step by step several times. I get the "green" arrow........no luck......................................

If you start a new topic or do a reply, you'll see a link below the text box "Free Image Optimizer". You can drag-and-drop your image there and resize as necessary to get to the allowable size. Then, save the image and click the green arrow to download. It will typically go into your Downloads folder on your computer. Finally, click the link below the text box "Upload Image" to select the image to add to your post. It'll soon become second nature and take only seconds to do!
