Low Numbered $5 Star Note (320,000 Run)

Mzeek17 Valued Member United States 90 Posts	Posted 12/17/2021 10:57 am I found a $5 star note with a low serial # (see pics). When I looked it up it also says that it happened to be the first print of a short print and there were only 320,000 ( which Is way less than the 3-6 MILLION most of the ones I find have). Also that they're 0 packs and it was only sheets I believe it says? What does any of this mean on a rarity, uniqueness scale and Is 320k considered scarce/rare in the money market, and if so... how scarce on a relatable scale to a newbie lol.... or is this just another spender? Ive just started to comprehend coins, and now I have all these star notes stacking up as well. Some are in very good shape also... but the price ranges are all over the place... between 8-55 roughly well say. Report this Post to the Staff

If you collect strictly from circulation finds, or if you happen to like it, than it's a keeper. Most modern star note collectors prefer uncirculated examples and in the paper money collector world, a serial number needs five leading zeros to be considered low. My example. O probably won't sell it for awhile( if ever)..I haven't sold ANY change or paper I've found yet. Probably have about a 1,000 in change by now that I still have to go through... but I need to get a microscope first... otherwise I can't tell what's what Report this Post to the Staff
