This might have been dipped at some point but still...pretty nice.

Very nice, indeed. If it was dipped I wouldn't be able to tell from those pics. It looks near perfect with the odd touch mark on the surfaces.

Is this one you are looking to make an offer on?

Newfoundland coins seem to be getting scarcer to me. One like this is rare to see. You'd be very lucky to own it!

I agree - I don't know if it's that there's been more buying going on during the pandemic or just the natural ebb and flow of things. But certainly there is very little on ebay that's worth looking at. This particular coin is for sale in the New Year's TCNC auction. Thinking about bidding...

Of course it's been dipped....but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

And remember, 'dipped' does not result in hairlines, as with 'cleaning'.

Also, this is a one hundred and thirty-five (135) year old coin.

Tell how it stays silvery white WITHOUT ever being dipped!

Wow! Some really nice coins up for offer there.

The 1880 fifty cent is stunning. The 10 cent 1885 is so rare in that condition. Oh my!

I'm drooling over these.
