I can't do a complete identification, but it seems to me that it could be a medal for the Northwestern Brewing Association, likely located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "Forward" is the Wisconsin state motto, and that side of the medal is a rough version of the Wisconsin state seal.

I hope this helps!

Googling "Northwestern Braumeister", "1902" (note use of quotation marks to narrow search results), I arrived at this: https://www.google.com/books/editio...c=frontcover

I then googled "American Brewers Review", "1902" and arrived at this: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt...44&skin=2021

Perhaps, there's some mention of this commemorative medal within the journal pages? I'm guessing that the medal may approximate 35 mm? If so, it might be categorized as a "so-called dollar." This series promoted recognition of historical events in America. There's an early book by Kappen on this series and a newer edition, too. Problem is that many of the earlier listings were dropped in the newer catalog on this subject. As I don't have these books, maybe another member can check the listings?

Pieces like this are generally rare in terms of survival numbers. I've not before seen this one, but I'm not an avid collector of this series. I'd venture a dollar value of between $25-$75. A collector of Wisconsin "Brewery Tokens" would assuredly find this piece appealing. Hope "my take" offers some insight.
