I think the masters of the numismatic grading universe and their pals in the Dirty Jersey graded AU-58 on this ye faithful of shiny old silver.

Can't really tell if it is MS or AU. I'll stick with high AU because of the green bean.

I'm feeling optimistic today and it got a MS63. The old AU58 wouldn't shock me either.

Oh man she's drop-dead gorgeous. If she weren't 15mm tall, I'd marry her.

If I could find any wear I'd say AU 58. But I didn't. The early LSDs aren't easy to assess though, and one place there can we wear is on the denticles, some of which are pretty heavily toned.

Assuming it's an MS grade, I don't see why it would be anything less than MS63. The reverse abrasions are minor.

This one truly fooled me as well. I cannot believe its not even a AU58 and yes, its as lustrous in-hand although this slab pic might not show it.

I'm a variety hound and of course this is par for my course; purchased directly from Gerry Fortin this year. From Fortin describing the A-1/F-101 variety:

Comments: This is the earliest die state seen for Obverse 1. The 3 and 9 digits in the date show repunching. The 3 digit shows repunching below the lower loop while the 9 digit shows repunching within the upper and lower loops. Stars 5 and 6 are repunched while Star 11 shows repunching outside its star point facing Liberty.

Obverse 1 is paired with Reverse A, which shows considerable wear around UNITED and AMERICA. There is a faint die crack from the wreath to AME(R)ICA. Evidence of die erosion can also be seen behind O(NE). It is suspected that Reverse A has been previously paired with at least one other die, however potential die pairings cannot be identified at this time. Reverse A is rotated left 18 degrees.

in no ones book is this coin AU55 unless the photos are overstating it. imo the bean means nothing with that grade on it
