Last April, I saw this on ebay (with a lousy photo) listed as "chipped edge". At the same time, I had been reading CCN articles about errors and thought this looked like a partial brockage. Since I had a 1962, I decided to bid on this one (won at $17.50 Cdn. with shipping). Only the 4th time in over 50 years that I bought THE ERROR, not the coin.

There's a small Rim Fin to the obverse side, a little bent.

The surprize is the railroad rim, had no idea from the auction.

Cool railroad rim.

Though it looks more like a partially indented strike from a blank planchet, as there are no fields like one would see on a brockage from an already-struck coin.

Indent strike with a partial collar. I don't see a partial brockage.

Still, a very nice coin. 1962 and 1963 are great years for acquiring good errors for reasonable prices.
