1885 Morgan DMPL Rainbow, But.....

I bought this coin just because it looked so striking. I'm pretty sure the toning is artificial but I couldn't resist the deep mirrors and cameo contrast. I sent it in to SEGS just to see what they would say. They slabbed it as MS-63 DMPL, with no mention of AT. However, they put the term "Hazed Face" on the label. After several emails to SEGS someone finally responded and defined the term. They say someone had applied a material like dental wax to the portrait to hide contact marks.

I still think it looks cool.
