Found this 1982 D LMC it weighs 3.2 is this a small date copper cent thank you the 2 caught my eye looks different need help

The easiest way to tell if to look at the '2'. Note how the lower left of the date looks like an upside down '7'?

Also not the location of the date in reference to the rim:
