to the forum. Pictures of both sides are usually the norm here and can sometimes be very helpful. In this case though, you do not have extra tail feathers. It appears to be what is called an interior retained die break albeit a very small one at that. There are numerous types of examples such as this and they all have different origins. The raised metal looks too large to me to be considered a die chip. Error-ref.com is a great site to learn these types of abnormalities on coins.

The mark is incuse, so it is damage to the coin.
