Colour looks way off but I'm sure there is more wrong then that. Either that or the person. Dosnt know what they have. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/313800843757Ya there is many things wrong with this coin that stand out from online examples I just looked at of authentic ones. I reported it but hopefully other can help get rid of it before an un suspecting buyer sees it and snatches It up thinking it's a great deal. Edited by Wrekkdd 12/20/2021 2:23 pm

I don't know much about the other coins he has listed but everything kind of looks the same so I'm assuming the seller has a fair amount of counterfeit coins for sale from Canada, USA, Britain, and other countries.

Quote: I reported it but hopefully other can help get rid of it The reports of counterfeit coins to ebay go nowhere. Only reports by nickelsguy or bobby131313 work.

Maybe nickelsguy or bobby, can report it then, if it's worth there time. It does not look like anyone is dumb enough to fall for these as genuine coins as they would probably have sold extremely fast considering the price of a 1948 Canadian dollar alone. I just figured I would notify the community. I'm not good at spotting fakes but these ones just shout fakes. I don't see any reproduction marks or anything else. The seller has a bad rating but all it takes is one uneducated buyer to think it's real. Even if my report goes no where I feel it was the right thing to do.
Unfortunately looks like some buyers have already fallen for these fake coins. The seller has very few reviews and several saying the coins they received were fakes.

Wow you guys were not kidding about how effective nickelsguy's report power is lol. Was it just the Canadian dollar taken down or the sellers other fakes as well? Didn't save the seller or remember there name even so I can't check.

sorry, I do not pay attention anymore to names. I only report counterfeits I am 100% sure are fake. There was only one fake Canadian coin from this seller. Made by Big Tree Coin Factory.

Thanks @nickelsguy, just looked up a thread on big tree coin factory, that's a scary though. I don't know anything about many foreign coins but I assume most of this sellers coins were fakes as they all had the same sort of finish, as well colour being way off due to what I assume would be artificial toning. I'm glad the Canadian fake is gone though, you must be some kind of wizard to have that kind of influence. I'll keep my eyes out for similar coins. Hopefully no one buys the other coins they are selling.

Found the seller and posted there for sale list on the world coin forum, I can't confirm some or all or none are fake but figured I'd let the world coin experts take a look and decide.thanks again nickels guy for getting rid of the Canadian listing. I'm glad I double checked the coin as I could have purchased it on a whim myself for the price(and misplaced trust in ebay) when I make my first high prices coin I'll have to make sure I know more about what to look for.
