I need help identifying round markings on a 1982 zinc Lincoln Penny. The round markings are on the obverse and reverse of the coin. The markings are around the date, between the lettering, and after the word America on the reverse. These raised dots look like the period after E. Pluribus and before and after the word Unum. The dots are everywhere on the coin. Please provide your expertise, and guidance if any. I have tried to upload a photo of the obverse and reverse of the coin. I look forward to hearing from someone that may know what these dots are and if there are any other known coins with this variety?

Welcome to CCF. These look like plating blisters. Were the copper over the zinc has bonded correctly. Not extremely rare. If you are interested in it, save it.

Thank you! I'm glad you were able to view the coin. I'm still learning how to upload photos on this site.

Yes, classic example of plating bubbles/blisters.
