Hello everyone!
I have been gaining a lot of interest lately about islamic iberian coins. To my dismay, there are few resources online, so I have been getting some books and working from there. But it got me thinking and I decided to at least try and improve one of my favourite online catalogues: numista! With some nice steady work I got invited to be a numista referee for these kinds of coins and so I'm in a great position to improve the situation!
But enough about me and numista, I thought I might as well share this elsewhere so here goes. One of the most important things to do when you get a coin from the caliphate of Córdoba is to find the mint and reign, and so this is a little cheat sheet to do so:
al-Andalus (mint):

Madinat al-Zahra (mint):

'Abd al-Rahman (monarch, 316-350 AH):

al-Hakam (monarch, 350-366 AH)

Hisham (monarch, 366-399 and 400-403 AH):

Muhammad (monarch, 399-400 AH):

Sulayman (400 and 403-407 AH):

Ali (407-408 AH):

al-Qasim (408-412 and 413-414 AH):

Yahya (412-413 and 416-417 AH):

In between there are some other monarchs with repeated names that lasted very little time in the throne like Abd al-Rahman IV and V (a few days and 47 days on the throne respectively), Muhammad III (who actually lasted longer than Muhammad II) and Hisham III (4 and a half years).
I hope this is interesting to someone in here! I will post a reply with some coins as a challenge for you all to try and put this into practice!
