Why did you send a non-Canadian coin to ICCS? The grade will always be suspect and not accepted in the marketplace. In effect you still have a raw ungraded coin.

ICCS is pretty much only recognized for Canadian coins

Because they are seen as unreliable graders of non-Canadian coins, on par with basement slabbers. If you try to sell this coin on ebay they will not even allow you to list it as a graded coin.

That's not the case. Check out ebay previous sold ICCS Foreign coins .Prices are relative to grading company perhaps but ICCS coins are being sold on ebay .

DBM is 100% right here. ICCS was started and still run by a Canadian coin expert who is well versed primarily in CANADIAN coins. Get this coin out to PCGS..if you need help and don't see the value in opening an account just to send one coin feel free to email me through my profile as we often do PCGS submissions. As an edit, just to add on..the only reason my comment is on this thread is because I was so dumbfounded by the title of the thread that I had to check it out haha..if that tells you anything. You are getting Canadian people responding in the world forum because they were confused by the ICCS mention, and you'll soon get world collectors seeing this and asking why it's on an ICCS holder..some will even ask what an ICCS is.

Read ebay listing rules. You are not allowed to sell them as graded coins. They must be listed as raw coins with no mention of grade, and no pic of the grade on the holder is allowed. Some people people manage to skirt the rules, but every so often ebay cleans house and takes them all down.

So ICCS lists grading of British coins and was compliant to grade . Perhaps they should not be accepting coins that are not Cad for grading .

They are a grading company and will accept any real coin submitted for the most part... They are a business and it is revenue

That one should probably been sent to NGC for the purposes of Grading . Looks like a very nice coin though .Show pictures both sides . As an aside , we have bought many world coins in ICCS holders on a sight seen basis . Resubmitted them to NGC and the results were generally favourable. A Small number of past examples , an 1887 Jubilee GB crown old 2 Letter ICCS AU50 came back MS62 NGC . 1717 GB Dump Half Penny MS60 2 Letter ICCS came back as NGC 63 Brown. Charles II Farthing ICCS EF45 crossed as NGC EF details scratch . It works both ways . Goes back to buy the coin not the holder . Have seen numerous atrocities when it comes to Canadian and World Coin Grading from both PCGS and NGC .

Are both NGC and PCGS in the States ? So what I'm hearing from you all is the value of the coins are worth sending considering shipping, fees etc . They also rated an 1821 Crown as Ef40, 1906 half crown as MS62,1887 1/2 cr as ms64 and a double florin 1887 as MS60 . Wish I had of know I was wasting time and money on ICCS for Brit coins.

Or of course I can take em out of grading fold and sell suggesting the grade . I truly don't understand this ebay rule . Why are the other two graders allowed but not ICCS ?

How easy it is to swap out that coin in a plastic flip, and exchange it with some other one!

Quote: Why are the other two graders allowed but not ICCS ? IF YOU LIST ON ebay.CA ICCS IS ALLOWED. At least it has been for years.. If you list on ebay.com it is not.. Disclaimer.. I am NOT sure if foreign coins graded by ICCS are allowed on ebay.ca.
