I've picked up some choice mint sets over the past decade that I feel blessed & lucky to have when I see the current offerings of ungraded MS's

Here are some highlights and please let me know, what would you do? Grade the whole set? Only send the choice halves, pennies? All sets are now in snap-tites with original envelopes and us mint housing bagged up.

Thanks for looking

This is diffused lighting to what I could best capture on this Franklin. I have pics saved of an NGC MS64 with what I call the "blueberries".

Then there's these pennies which on different sets go from pink to swamp green but flawless surfaces. The two dimes on the '57-P are no joke as well. They reflect light like little rainbow gemstones.

I have mixed feelings about having them graded by a TPG, but I do like the toning.

the 1956 half has undesirable toning in my view.. the cents look good, but I don't think spending the money for grading would warrant a big gain. my opinion only..

many of the silver coins here exhibit the same oxidation. that black spotty toning imo is from improper storage and in my experience comes from humidity over a long period of time. I have several of my mercs that did that and they were in an old whitman blue folder. I think that this franky would details due to PMD. its so deep I dont anything can clean it up. I would attempt an acetone soak on it. cant hurt it thats for sure. I hate when that happens. the dimes are not that bad yet so I would inclined to get them out of that album and get them into something more stable. they are common coins so I wouldnt spend a lot doing it but if they continue to sit where they are they are probably going to just degrade over time. none are worth grading

two rules I have now

1. look at your coins often to catch issues before they occur
2. properly store your coins in an inert holder/album and in an area that does not have high humidity

Pretty expensive undertaking for such common coins. You'd really have to do well just to break even.

Nice looking toners! Congrats!

I'd just put them into airtites and call it a day. You want to "freeze" the toning where it is right now. Some of the black spots on the Lincolns look to be young, active corrosion. That cardboard is like a sponge for water and contaminants.
