Ive had 3 or 4 off ebay with free shipping and cost never more than $18 , usually around the 17.50 mark. The shipping from that site seems steep ? Shipping options: Additional Shipping Priority Mail $4.95 Usually arrives 2-3 days after shipping Registered Mail $15.95 Usually arrives 3-5 days after shipping

well if you are just ordering one silver eagle than your better off at ebay maybe... I go to APMEX when I am ordering 10 or more not worth just ordering one... Interesting link on the mintage's hollywood Seems like platinum coins and gold buffaloes have low low mintage... to bad for the people who are payingso much for the proof |ASE with that many minted

The mintage for the 2008W ASE are a bit high, but, on the other hand, they are also SOLD OUT. The value of a coin takes into account a lot more than just the number that were minted. ebay shows the 2009 ASE Proof still selling for 80 to 100 bucks. That is doubling your money.

Quote:Ebay shows the 2009 ASE Proof still selling for 80 to 100 bucks. That is doubling your money. Referring to the 2009 Proof ASE....Considering that at a near future time when these go on sale for the first time, I'm assuming these ebay listings are "pre-orders" that you're referring to. But WHY would people buy, (pre-order), these 2009 proof ASE's for double or more money than what they can buy it for themselves directly from the Mint's website when they do go on sale at least at the Mint's price for $32.00 or so .... .... If one has access to ebay....then one certainly has access to the U.S. Mint's website......this baffles me.. Is there something I'm missing here ...

I just got a confirmation of my order of 2009 ASEs being shipped. I managed to get a roll for just under $15.00, plus S&H.

haha. Yeah sorry, I meant under $15.00 for each coin.
I was pretty happy with the purchase price. But I'm still waiting for the delivery...

I bought a 2009 ASE proof for $28 at my local bank a few days ago. A bit over market value, for bullion. But considering, I think it was a decent deal. This isn't a thing I bought to resell. I intend to keep it for my lifetime. If it gets sold....it will be my children that sell it.

The 2009 ASE Proof has not been made yet. If it is dated 2009 it must be bullion which sells for $15-$20 If it is a 2008 ASE proof then you got a great deal as it is selling between $80-$100 Does it have a "W" mint mark?

I've been stocking up on ASE's from Bullion Direct for about 17.50 a piece. The only thing is that it's years of their choice. I'm more interested in the silver anyway so it's fine by me. Rounds/Bars are going around $14 an ounce over there
