In Germany this note is called „Flottenhunderter", which means „Navyhundred" due to the ships on the back. The seated Germania stands for the German empire as well as the oaktree in the background.
My favorite note design. I read somewhere that the note was designed by Kaiser Wilhelm II and that it was not popular with the German public when it was issued!
