Hello folks, hopefully I do better with this one. To my eye this is a very appealing coin, a little red remaining and some luster. Seller is asking $80, which seems okay. My eye is telling me XF 45 because of the wear on the headband, but let me know what you all think.

I'll say high F or low VF details (cleaned and recolored). A coin with this much wear would never show luster.

Not just the headband, this coin can be graded no higher than Vf because the lower hair curl is flat and merging with the ribbon. Probably cleaned as well. An XF coin must show clear separation between the lower curl and the ribbon.

VF20/25 Details, agree it's had an old cleaned and retoned. That red visible does not look natural, considering the amount of wear.

Safe to say this was not the response I was expecting. I guess I have some homework to do; thank you all for the feedback.

We've all been there. This is just not a natural-looking coin.

VF Details. Tougher date, but for that money you can purchase a problem free example in the same grade.
