1943 D Jefferson War Nickel Error? - Coin Community Forum

NickelHead89 New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 12/30/2021 1:41 pm Hello and thank you for looking at my post! Recently I purchased a 1943 D Jefferson nickel. Today I put it under the microscope and noticed an "error" in the hair of Jefferson. Attached are photos of what I am talking about. I am not sure what this is called and haven't seen anything about this in some Google searching. Any help to what this may be or if it is a variety is much appreciated. Happy New Year!
