It is because of how smartphones store photos with the rotation information in the metadata, where as this website is literal and reads the image as saved. One way to avoid it is to always take your photos in landscape (horizontal, like TV or movie) and not portrait (vertical). Quote: Kinda new at this. Can they be rotated after uploaded? Sorry, but no, you will need to upload them again. You can use the Free Image Optimizer to roate them before upload.
