If they do not have anything and I have to call around to the banks, I would probably stick with half dollars. My greatest success in the 1990s was with half dollars. Nearly funded my Franklin half dollar purchases with silver finds alone. When I quit my hunt five years ago, silver halves were very slim, and silver dimes were one per $140. I'm thinking the odds today are greater for pulling a silver War Nickel over all else, plus the chance of the stray buffalo. When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
