Not into CRH these days, but my answer is whatever the credit union has on hand.

If they do not have anything and I have to call around to the banks, I would probably stick with half dollars. My greatest success in the 1990s was with half dollars. Nearly funded my Franklin half dollar purchases with silver finds alone.

I would ask the bank IF they had halves first. Usually they don't. If not, I would do $100 in quarters and $50 in dimes... though doing all $150 in nickels would probably be more fun and productive.

CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I would try for all cents ($150 in cents); or maybe halves.

All nickels. Always ask if anybody turned in halves or old dollars but never gotten one yet.

I'm also for all nickels. When I quit my hunt five years ago, silver halves were very slim, and silver dimes were one per $140. I'm thinking the odds today are greater for pulling a silver War Nickel over all else, plus the chance of the stray buffalo.
