Oh geeee, I didn't know the 1916 quarter was minted at San Francisco and was a type 2 . Yikes in other words, glad you reported this...

I see the listing is still there. I'll be interested in hearing any explanation from the seller on how an S-mint T2 quarter could possibly be a '16...

I asked if he realized that all the 1916 SL quarters were struck in Philadelphia and his coin clearly has an S mintmark. Also that no 1916 had three stars below the eagle.

I come across ebay listings of "rare and valuable" common coins priced at astronomical levels. As it is per se fraudulent to try to get people to pay lots of money for a "valuable" and "rare" coin that is anything but, I report it to ebay. I get back responses along the lines of the owner didn't have anything to do with the listing. Whatever that is supposed to mean. Junk on ebay is an unfortunate fact of life.

It is almost as if ebay would rather just let this problem exist, instead of take care of it. Quite frustrating and annoying. It reminds me of social media sites and their horrible bot problems. There are easy solutions, but they would rather let the problems persist.
